About Running on Sentences

I was supposed to run a half-marathon in December 2023, with the intent that it would be a stepping stone to running a marathon in 2024. Unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on how you look at it), I had to have my gall bladder removed in October 2023. Because of recovery, my dream of running a half-marathon was dashed and I’d have to start all over. Except…

Earlier this year, I saw an Instagram post about the Every Woman’s Marathon in Savannah, GA, and it checked the boxes: close to home, generous time cutoff, and supportive environment. So, I signed up. And then I realized how much time I would spend in training and became concerned that doing all this running would impact the time I spend writing.

But what if I wrote about running? Or running-related things? Or just wrote a weekly newsletter that let me just get some words on the metaphorical page?

It seemed like a good idea, my partner agreed, and here we are.

Thanks for visiting!

I was worried that marathon training would get in the way of writing, so I decided to start a newsletter.
