So true! Health is not always weight loss.

I love how setting a goal lets you ignore a lot of noise that comes from the world. This is something I'm also finding strength in. I try to pick one or two things and give them most of my focus, and then I don't have to worry about guilt or shame for not doing the billion other things I could be doing instead.

I picked what I want to focus on. And the rest can wait.

Ah that's so real! I find it really hard to focus on 1-2 things, but I'm working on it. Especially while training I think I've had to shift my focus and goals to meet my current needs. It requires me to only pursue what's most important.

Sydney: This is so vulnerable. Thank you for putting this into words - it's so so so spot on! I love how much you are absorbing and synthesizing all that marathoning teaches - not just running the distance.

I don't think I anticipated how much training would make me think about things. While I knew it wouldn't be /just/ running, I believe that going through this is making me realize so much about myself.
